I have a PGCE in Adult Literacy and a 2:1 degree in English Literature from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have taught at a further education college and in a prison and have encountered all levels and abilities as well as the most challenging conditions. I believe English is fundamental to success in all other areas as it is the bedrock of communication, whether written or spoken, and can dramatically broaden ones life opportunities. This can be seen, especially, at the application or interview stage of any job applied for where these skills are crucial in determining progress.
