I am an approachable, friendly person with a positive attitude to life, who enjoys meeting new people. I am a good communicator, having learnt to speak in public, and can talk easily to people from different walks of life. Also, I am adaptable and take people as I find them. I am a graduate historian with experience of tutoring at a number of levels, particularly GCSE and A Level. My specialist areas are 19th and 20th century European and British history, and military history from the 18th century. In addition I have taught Religious Studies up to GCSE level. I have considerable experience of working with a wide variety of people, having served for many years as a local councillor, school governor and charity worker.
