I have worked in both Hampshire & Surrey state schools as well as a Portsmouth Pupil Referral Unit voluntarily. I believe Science teaching at its best should be interesting, engaging & relevant. I try to work this philosophy into all my teaching! I will always try and teach the *skills* that pupils need to succeed in Science, this might be exam technique or the scientific process, so that pupils become better independent learners. Most importantly, I attempt to boost pupil confidence in their own ability which is often the biggest hurdle.
I am happy to teach multiple pupils at one time and am willing to discount in such cases. I will also consider travelling further than stated but this may incur an additional fee. I also am fluent in British Sign Language. I have a copy of my most recent CRB check, which was April 2009
Fully qualified Science teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Science and a BSc (Hons) in Palaeobiology & Evolution. I enjoy teaching (but not crowd control!) and get a lot of satisfaction from pupil successes and boosting pupil self-esteem!
