Having graduated with a First Class degree, I am now engaged in research for the prestigious and competitive BPhil degree at Oxford University. I have experience in tutoring for A level, and find that a personalised plan for each individuals needs and abilities is the best way to improve the students performance. I therefore take a real interest in the learning styles and interests of the student, and help them to set realistic goals to work towards. As well as imparting invaluable techniques and skills to enable students to pass with the best possible grades, I think that engaging students in one to one philosophical discussion on the revision topics can engender the kind of independance of thought which can really make their exam answers stand out. I can give online help to those who live further afield, which can involve detailed comments on essays or timed mock papers, conference calling / instant chat, or both.
