I have an Associate Degree in Maths and Science from the USA. Also, I have a degree in Mathematical Sciences (Hons) with a 2:1 classification and am a qualified teacher (PGCE-Secondary maths).
I have over ten years of experience in maths. I have been tutoring pupils for four years and enjoy helping them reach their full potential. I tutor pupils from KS3 to A-level. I always plan lessons in advance and employ various strategies when teaching pupils, so that I can find out which works best for them. I also emphasise the use of key mathematical terminology and employ assessment for learning strategies. I also have my own resources to aid pupils understanding of topics (if required)and have copies of past exam papers.
I am willing to tutor pupils in Newport or central Cardiff area.
I am very patient and understanding. I also have a sense of humour, which helps, because maths can be mind boggling at times!
Please note: At A level, I can offer 90 minute sessions at £25.
