I have been tutoring for 3 years, based at home and I have over 25 years classroom experience. I have had considerable success with pupils who have a block to learning particularly due to Dyslexia or other learning difficulties. I use an approach based around learning through everyday experience and the identification of preferred learning styles. Pupils often show preferences for non text based learning approaches, particularly visual and I feel that it is always important to identify and then use strengths rather than weaknesses.
