History is not a dusty old subject that is boring and uninteresting or at least it should not be. History is the subject in which we learn of how we are to-day, of how we came to be where we are to-day. History is the subject in which we learn to avoid the mistakes of the past and it actively helps us to create a better society. Thus, it is not just a subject for an old Cambridge prof. but one for anyone thinking of a variety of careers. Where would we be to-day if it were not for those who came before us?
