*Over 20 years primary school experience from foundation stage to Year 6. *Literacy co-ordinator for many years, also special needs co-ordinator. *Believe self-esteem and a positive attitude key to learning, especially enjoy boosting confidence and making learning enjoyable. *Treat each student (child or adult) very much as an individual, finding ways to help them take their next step. *Use a variety of methods and resources (e.g. maths games, making books), to keep children engaged throughout the session. *Prefer to tutor in my house but also happy to travel.
Non-threatening, warm tutor, keen to build confidence not point out weaknesses. Loads of experience with primary age children in English and maths. Learning should be fun and paced to needs.
Not weekends. Very flexible Monday to Friday, some days available as well as evenings. 1/2 hour sessions available for Key Stage 1 children.
