I am an American, a recent graduate of Princeton, with a BA in history. In 2009 I will begin a PGDE at the University of Edinburgh. I have studied both in the US and in the UK (Oxford), and have done classroom work experience in both countries, so I am familiar with the Scottish exam system, Scottish syllabus and the expectations of British universities. I am passionate about history and enjoy making complex concepts accessible and interesting. I am an especially strong writer and believe that good essays can be the key not only to academic success, but also to really understanding the subject
