After achieving an A grade in English at A level, I am currently pursuing a degree in the subject at the University of Nottingham. Understanding the way English works is my passion, and I feel that, still being a part of the educational system myself, I can pass on my knowledge from a well-integrated, fresh perspective.
I have experience tutoring a year seven pupil, and have worked for a short period at a local primary school. I am able to tailor my lessons to suit pupils from Key Stages 1-3, from improving basic reading and writing skills with a focus on spelling, grammar and punctuation, to heightening understanding of the purpose of pieces of literature, teaching more complex technical terms and showing how to integrate these into articulate, structured essays more representative of GCSE work.
I offer tuition in pupil's own homes, an environment in which they will feel comfortable, helping them to relax and focus on the content of lessons.
