My name is Andrew Chesney I am 27 and currently in my final year of studying for a degree in English and Creative Writing.
Prior to this I spent severall years serving as an engineer in the Royal Navy during which time, when serving on board HMS Illustrious, I took the voluntary role of ship s English teacher: helping some of the younger ratings without GCSE s prepare for, and pass, the Naval English tests. This role, which I greatly enjoyed, awoke the desire in me to leave the Navy and persue a teaching career in English.
